Our three decades of research led consulting with schools in every continent have led us to conclude that nothing is more valuable to a school than a positive and clear reputation for something of value.

As Abraham Lincoln once said: “Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.” In the post-Corona pandemic era, can any school afford not to know the trees from the shadows?

However, there has been no recognised way of evaluating, developing or benchmarking school reputation in a comprehensive way (beyond single metrics such as student academic scores).

Our Founder and Principal, Dr Stephen Holmes (PhD School Marketing/Reputation) has developed a robust and unique tool for assessing, building and benchmarking school reputation. Since 2012, more than 80 schools across the world have undertaken The Reputation Assessor program.

The 5 Stage process for schools that undertake The Reputation Assessor represents an extremely economical investment for Boards and management given the breadth of the process, and the quality and importance of outputs. There is no comparable tool for schools on reputation. Please click below for full details.

Dr Holmes - School Reputation Interview

Jane Larsson, Executive Director, Council of International Schools (CIS) on The Reputation Assessor:
“I first met Dr Stephen Holmes several years ago and realized immediately how much of an impact he could make in the school communities we serve. His specialized knowledge and ability to present and explain and work with schools’ on reputation and its management in a clear way is already yielding results in both our school and university communities. Every single time I’ve met with Stephen, I’ve learned something new and found new enthusiasm to introduce him to more and more CIS members. For those schools that engage him around the world, he fulfills every objective they set for his work with their communities.”
