Corporate Social Responsibility
Our Commitment to being Socially Responsible
The 5Rs Partnership recognises the importance of being socially responsible in a challenging, volatile, and developing world. Therefore, we detail below our corporate social responsibility principles which reflect our commitment to contributing a positive impact across several key areas: COVID-19 recovery, economic inequality, climate change, equal opportunity, wellbeing and safeguarding, and modern slavery. These areas align closely with our corporate business goals while also ensuring the effects on employees are reasonable and fair.
Tackling Economic Inequality
We ensure all of our staff and representatives have parity in our payment schedule to ensure equality across the board regardless of gender and social standing.
We specialise in the education sector and as such see education as one of the central tenets to increase opportunities for individuals and communities and improve social mobility.
Fighting Climate Change
We expect all representatives to understand the importance of protecting the environment and to make every effort to minimize environmental impact in relation to work-related practices. We make best use of technology to limit unnecessary travel and therefore reduce our carbon footprint. We use sustainable practices in our day to day operations – limiting the use of printing, single use plastics, encouraging office recycling and offsetting our travel through carbon neutral practices. Our investment portfolio favours sustainable organisations.
Equal Opportunity
We are committed to providing equal opportunity to our staff and team of expert associates. The profile of our team is representative of a wide range of individuals providing equal access to opportunities regardless of gender, age, race, culture, physical location, disability or sexual orientation. We have generous policies around maternity land parental leave and childcare to allow our staff to continue their roles with the company while managing their work-life balance. We offer flexible work practices allowing our team to work at variable times to meet their other responsibilities while still providing an excellent service to our clients. Our team has a 50/50 male to female ratio, and we ensure there are no variances in our pay structure by gender ensuring parity of opportunity.
Our organisation has an international base and as such has high levels of global cultural awareness. We ensure we treat all of our staff, partners and clients with dignity and respect.
We abide by all equal opportunity legislation in the countries we work in and ensure the core principles are universally applied in our day to day operations and interactions.
Wellbeing and Safeguarding
The wellbeing and safety of our staff and everyone with whom we work is an important priority within The 5Rs Partnership. We use rigorous recruitment and background-checking protocols to ensure all our employees are suitable to work with students and adults. All employees are required to follow our Code of Conduct and all staff receive annual safeguarding training.
We provide flexible working practices and generous sickness and parental leave where required. We undertake regular reviews with staff through our appraisal system and more frequent “check ins” to ensure our team are well briefed, have the necessary resources to complete their work and feel supported by our team of professional experts – with the view of reducing stress while maintaining exceptionally high standards for our clients.
