Benchmarking The Student Journey
For a leading national VET provider, we developed a grounded and customised benchmarking survey tool to facilitate an assessment of all aspects of the student journey (experience).
Our approach involved a blend of both qualitative analysis (focus groups) and quantitative surveys to establish performance metrics that could be benchmarked over time spanning pre-enrolment, post-enrolment and transition to employment phases of the student journey.
The outputs provided for the institute was an ongoing measurement tool to assess its progress in key areas.
New Market Analysis

Our assessment of each industry focused on the prospective delivery of key qualifications at the Certificate and Diploma levels. An evaluation of market attractiveness was based on a quantitative and qualitative review of demographic, labour market and economic fundamentals, as well as regulatory and policy conditions.
Recent enrolment trends including that of key identified competitors also contributed to the assessment of market potential.
Our reports were used to underpin board level decisions move to into new markets and to prioritise investments.
Evaluation of VET Policy and Subsidy Settings
For a large training and employment services provider, we examined the current policy and subsidy settings across five jurisdictions.
Based on the available information and data, we provided a state-by-state assessment of barriers to entry, funding formulas and training subsidies for various industries and provider types. An assessment of the attractiveness of each market was delivered, including key areas of focus.
Given ongoing reforms, our reports also identified the likelihood and potential direction of changes to government policy in the future.
